About

Your tour group will be led by a local, knowledgeable Tour Guide – someone who’s excited to share Napa Valley with you and enhance your education of the vine-to-bottle process.

You’ll average 3 to 6 miles of biking between stops, covering a total of 12-17 miles. The route will be mostly flat to gently rolling. And don’t forget: you’ll have four levels of E-Bike pedal-assist at your fingertips!

A signature part of the Full-Day E-Bike Tour is a wine country picnic catered by Chef Thomas Keller’s Bouchon Bakery. Expect seasonal selections such as Parisian-style ham & cheese, tuna Niçoise and turkey pesto served on Bouchon Bakery‘s artisanal breads. Your lunch will include Kettle Chips and a petite dessert.

Note:** Our guided bike tours are adult-oriented and wine-focused and intended for guests age 21+.

Why E-Bikes Totally Rock!

Electric bikes give us the flexibility to take the scenic route and reach wineries farther afield than we could using regular bikes.

Casual bikers appreciate that longer distances and hills are no sweat on an electric bike. And if you’re looking for more exercise, you can easily turn the pedal-assist level down or off to increase your effort.

You’ll find the pedaling experience on our E-Bikes feels very natural – it’s you, only faster!

What’s included

  • *Wine tasting fees are not included ($50-60 at most local wineries); fees may be waived with minimum purchase (varies by winery)*

Before you go

*A Few Things to Know Before Your Tour*

We want you to have the best experience possible! Please read these quick notes so you know what to expect:

  • **Tasting Fees** – Tasting fees are not included. Fees vary by winery and are often waived with minimum purchase. This flexibility allows us to visit different wineries daily.
  • **Full-Day Tour** – Stops at two wineries. If you’re not interested in tasting, a guided tour may not be the best fit. Please call us to discuss options: 707.251.8687.
  • **Wineries** – A tasting flight (typically 4–6 small pours) will be hosted by a wine educator. Most Napa wineries do not offer production tours. You'll enjoy tasting and storytelling, but will not see wine being made since it's most likely made offsite.
  • **Riding Conditions** – Our Yountville-based tour routes may include riding in a Bike Lane or shoulder alongside vehicle traffic. If you prefer a car-free path, our Vine Trail Discovery Tour may be a better fit. Call us to discuss or switch: 707.251.8687.

*What to Wear*

  • Most of our guests dress casually (the photos on our website are a helpful reference); generally, anything you are comfortable moving in is fine.
  • Shorts are recommended (we can provide straps to secure longer pant legs)
  • Warm layers are a good idea for our cooler mornings
  • Gloves and a beanie cap or headband to cover your ears are strongly recommended when the forecast dips below 60 degrees
  • Covered toe shoes are recommended

*What's Included*

  • **Rental Bike & Helmet**
  • **Tour Guide:** You will be hosted by one of our passionate and knowledgeable Tour Guides
  • Gel seat cushion
  • **Handlebar Bag:** Large enough to hold your wallet, phone, sunscreen, sunglasses, etc.
  • Bottled Water
  • **Picnic Lunch:** Catered picnic lunch by **Bouchon Bakery** includes your sandwich or salad selection, Kettle Chips & a petite dessert
  • **On-Call Van Support:** Including wine purchase pickup service

*Not Included*

  • **Wine Tasting Fees:** Fees average $40-60 at most Napa Valley wineries.
  • **Tour Guide Gratuity:** $20-30 per person is the typical range for a Full-Day Bike Tour. Bike Tour Guides share a portion of their tips with the Van Support driver.

*Rain*

We tour rain or shine. Rain is virtually non-existent from May through October. When it does rain, it is usually scattered showers. We can supply rain jackets to ward off light sprinkles or offer the option to tour by van instead. **If rain forecast is 50% or greater within 24 hours of tour Meet Time**, you have the option to cancel and receive a refund **less $10% cancellation fee**. Online booking fees are also non-refundable.

*What Are the Roads Like?*

The bicycling routes we frequent in Napa Valley often include some stretches along the Silverado Trail and/or Hwy. 29. These are the two primary thoroughfares in the Napa Valley and also where most local wineries are located. Our tour groups only ride on these roadways where a Class II Bike Lane is present.

Although these roads are incredibly scenic and people travel from all over the world to cycle here, we understand that not everyone is comfortable riding in a bike lane next to traffic. If this is a concern for anyone in your party, we recommend calling us about a week ahead of your reservation so we can discuss specifics of the route planned for your tour date: 707.251.8687.

*Respect & Protect the Vineyards*

The principles of **AG RESPECT** reflect our culture and code of conduct for activities taking place within Napa County's zoned and protected Agricultural Preserve. Join us in **Making the Pledge** to practice **AG R-E-S-P-E-C-T** while bicycling in Napa Valley.

  • **R**espect our working farms and vineyards
  • **E**xpect agricultural activities and keep clear
  • **S**tay within trail boundaries (pets, too)
  • **P**revent spread of non-native species
  • **E**liminate all trace and trash (from pets, too)
  • **C**heck your noise levels
  • **T**ake responsibility and report problems
