Experience a walking tour that brings the ghosts of Traverse City back to life. The Historical Ghost Lantern Tour starts in the heart of downtown Traverse City and explores the hauntings occurring on Front Street before heading south to 6th Street to share the ghostly tales of the Perry Hannah House and Carnegie Library. The tour will come to a climactic conclusion with a ghost-hunting experience at Traverse City's first official cemetery with actual ghost-hunting equipment where we conclude at the Perry Hannah Circle statue on the corner of Union and 6th street.

About

The Downtown Traverse City Ghost Tour is a walking, 90-minute tour and we operate rain or shine and only cancel due to severe weather. The tour path will head west on Front St, south on Union St, and the tour includes a short introduction to ghost hunting at Hannah Park, concluding at Perry Hannah Circle. We walk approximately 10-11 blocks or 1.5 miles so wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather.

The pace is slow to medium-paced at times on sidewalks and a grassy park trail. After the investigation concludes, head off to enjoy the fine restaurants and engaging entertainment Downtown Traverse City offers!

Our tour will meet OUTSIDE the 313 EAST Front Street Downtown Traverse City location. Please note: guests have been dropped off at a West Front Street location with the same address so please be attentive on where our group will meet.

Parking can be at the start of the tour or near the end of the tour at our guest's discretion. The end of the tour is the intersection of Union and 6th street (The Perry Hannah Statue). The length of the tour is .9 miles and lasts 90 minutes.

Please Note

Please wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather. We operate rain or shine so umbrellas and rain gear are another great addition to this adventure if it rains. Another great tip, that even in July, we are near the bay and a light sweater may be another great addition to your wardrobe.

Please arrive early to find a parking space. Your guide will be here 10 minutes prior to the tour. Please be patient, your guide may be coming from another tour. Please meet your guide at least 10 minutes prior to the start of the Tour.

This tour is 100% outside. Please dress for the weather and a 90 minute walk through the beautiful downtown Traverse City.

This tour may have to alter its presentation for weather or events in the area. Thank you for your understanding.

In case of severe weather, your tour guide will reach out via text one hour before the start of the tour to indicate if the tour is continuing as planned or canceled.

Haunted Traverse reserves the right to alter start times to find a window where we can operate if severe weather is in the area that evening.
