Leave No Trace

Leave No Trace is a set of outdoor ethics promoting conservation in the outdoors. The “Leave No Trace” 7 Principles were originally created for backcountry outdoor experiences, but can be applied to a wide range of activities. These principles encourage outdoor enthusiasts to minimize their impact on the natural environment when enjoying outdoor recreational activities such as hiking and camping.

This includes things like properly disposing of trash, staying on designated trails, and respecting wildlife. Adhering to these principles helps to protect the environment and preserve it for future generations to enjoy.

The Leave No Trace 7 Principles

1. Plan Ahead & Prepare

2. Travel & Camp on Durable Surfaces

3. Dispose of Waste Properly

4. Leave What You Find

5. Minimize Campfire Impacts

6. Respect Wildlife

7. Be Considerate of Other Visitors
