About

Your guide will teach you about the sport, sharing knowledge and answering any questions you may have. You will be introduced to some amazing Alaskan Huskies, learn about this fascinating breed, and tour a working mushing kennel of over 50 dogs.

The educational visitor center is a great place to warm up in the cool winter months, or to get a break from the sun during the sunny summer months. You will walk away from this tour with an abundance of dog mushing knowledge.

Important Information

• Please do not bring other dogs or pets to this tour.
• Children under the age of 6 are advised to stay behind the fence in our dog yard while on the Kennel Tour for their safety.

Please arrive 15 minutes before tour starts!

Important Information

• Follow our paw signs around the resort to get to the Chena Kennel dog yard, please be there at least 15 minutes before the start of your tour.
• Parking is not available at our kennel, please park at a designated area and take the short walk to our dog yard.
• Your tour guide will welcome you inside our visitor center, where your 40 minute tour will begin.

What to bring

• Make sure your camera or phone is charged before your arrival, as you will have plenty of time for photos with our dogs.

• Clothes you would not mind getting dirty if you plan to interact with our sled dogs.
