For kids ages 3-10 who are unable to participate in full-length trail rides, our fenced pony ride area offers a delightful alternative. Enjoy a 15-minute ride where you'll be led by one of our friendly and experienced staff members. Depending on our available horses your pony ride might be on a full-size horse.

Welcome to Koteewi Trails! We are thrilled to have you join us for an unforgettable horseback riding experience. To ensure a smooth and enjoyable visit, please review the following important information and guidelines.

Pre-Visit Preparation

Confirmation Email: Once you receive your confirmation email, please promptly open the link provided to sign the waiver. This must be completed before your arrival.

Arrival Time:

If you're visiting with a group of up to 6 people, please arrive 15 minutes early. This allows time for helmet fitting, mounting, stirrup adjustments, safety instructions, and a brief test ride.

For groups larger than 6, please arrive 30 minutes early to ensure everyone is ready in a timely manner.

Dress Code and Essentials

Required Attire: All riders must wear pants and closed-toed shoes.

Recommended Items: Bring bug spray and sunscreen to stay comfortable during your ride.

Safety First

At Koteewi Trails, safety is our top priority. Our staff will assess each rider's ability to control their horse. If there are any concerns, the ride will remain on the safety track or be led by a staff member. We will not allow a rider to venture onto open trails if it is deemed unsafe.

Weight Limit: The maximum weight for riders is 225 lbs.

Personal Items: Please leave cell phones, purses, and other loose items in your car to prevent them from falling during the ride.

Ride Experience

Time Slot: Your booked time slot encompasses the entire experience, not just the riding time. Note that riding durations may vary due to the horses' pace and the need to assist other riders.

Ride Measurement: We measure the ride by distance, not time, to ensure everyone has a fulfilling experience.
