Thank you for booking the Just Yaks Experience. We are excited to welcome you to our farm and provide what we hope to be an unforgettable time with yaks in Alaska. Below are very specific instructions for getting to your tour. We live and work in a rural community and, believe it or not, Google Maps has not fully mapped this area!

While you will have phone service, you are in for a real adventure!! If you arrive before the designated time for your tour and do not see your guide, please remain in the parking area or in your car. If you think you may be early, we suggest stopping at the local coffee shop (The Missing Moose Cafe) or store (Pleasant Valley Store) on your way. If you are having trouble understanding the driving instructions, please give us a call at 443-756-9367 and we would be more than happy to help you before you take a wrong turn.

ADDRESS/DIRECTIONS:

Your tour is located at Mammut Mountain Farm, our off-grid property. The address is 7545 Lead Dog Ln. Fairbanks, AK 99712 but Google Maps will route you down private driveways, so it is critical that you follow the written instructions.

1. Drive east on Chena Hot Springs Road for about 25-miles, turn right on HIPAS LANE.

2. Continue down Hipas Ln. and follow it to the right. You will drive down the long straight-away, a fenceline will be on your left.

3. When you reach the T in the road, turn left following the tour signs.

4. Take the first right onto Lead Dog Ln. Go down the long straight away, pass the driveway on the left, and continue straight following the tour signs.

5. Continue down this road as it turns to the right and then to the left.

6. Continue down the straight away and the Mammut Mountain Farm parking area is mid-way down the straight away and is indicated by signs.

DRIVER INSTRUCTIONS:

Be OBSERVANT while traveling--DO NOT travel beyond posted signs reading "Private Property", "Do Not Enter" and/or "No Trespassing." Failure to respect private property could lead to natural hazards or legal ramifications.

DO NOT OPEN private gates.

YIELD to local on-coming traffic.

We are an established business, there are signs that identify us as a yak tour location and WELCOME guests to our location. Do not go past a welcome location without a guide.

FOLLOW the WHITE directional signs labeled with "MAMMUT MOUNTAIN YAK TOUR" and yak design.

DRIVE RESPONSIBLY and follow posted speed limit signs when driving on our neighborhood roads--There are children, dogs, and livestock that also use these roads.

DO NOT ENTER private dog yards or farms in our neighborhood.
