Boater Safety Course - Drivers Only

• Drivers born after Jan 1, 1988, must complete a Temporary Boater Safety Course (and bring proof) here:. The fee is $13.97.

✅ Tip: Take the boater test BEFORE you arrive. Otherwise, you must arrive at least 1 hour early to allow time to complete and pass.

📍 Location: The Perry Hotel and Marina, 7025 Shrimp Road at Coconut Row, Dock J Slip 1, Key West, FL 33040 – Walk down the ramp to the dock across the road from the Bad Boy Taqueria & Tequila Restaurant

🕘 Arrival: Please arrive 30 minutes early

👥 Group Size: Max 6 skis | 3 riders per ski (1 driver + up to 2 passengers)

👶 Age Limits: 6+ to ride with an adult, 16+ to drive (alone)

🌊 A note on sargassum (seaweed): The Florida Keys are seeing a heavy seaweed season this year. On some days our guides adjust the tour route — at times around the island's Atlantic side — to steer clear of seaweed-clogged channels and keep your ride safe and smooth. You'll still get the full guided experience: your captain picks the best route each morning based on that day's conditions and reviews it with you at the dock before launch.

Tips & Payments

• Tips for your guide are greatly appreciated. A typical gratuity is 20% of the base price ($189 per jet ski), or $38.

• Bottled water, $1.00 each.

Policies

Check-In & Requirements

• Insurance Waivers and Boater Safety Course must be completed before arrival. Drivers must also carry photo ID while on the water, as required by Florida law.

• Arrive at least 30 minutes early. If you have not yet taken the Boater Safety Course, arrive 1 hour early.

• Safety instructions and on-water hand signals are given in English. Every driver must be able to understand them.

Ticket and Boarding Information

• Tours depart promptly. Late arrivals will miss the tour and will not be refunded.

• Rescheduling is available if the tour is canceled due to weather or other safety concerns.

• Modifications to the tour due to weather or other conditions do not qualify for refunds.

• All minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Reservation Policy

• Every guest, including children, must have a reservation.

Cancellation Policy

• Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before departure to receive a refund.

• Same-day cancellations and no-shows are non-refundable.

• Tickets purchased within 48 hours of departure are non-refundable.

Weather & Conditions Policy

• Tours will not operate in unsafe weather. Six Fins Jet Ski Rental reserves the right to cancel or reschedule for safety.

Alcohol Policy

• No alcohol before the tour. Guests under the influence or with alcohol will not be permitted to ride and will not be refunded.

Privacy Policy

• We may contact you via email about your reservation and for marketing purposes.

• You may opt out of marketing communications at any time.

• Locations may be under video surveillance.

• Photos or videos may be used on social media unless you object in writing.

Responsibility / Damages

The renter is financially responsible for any damage or loss of equipment.

• Repair/replacement charges:

– Impeller: $1,000

– Damaged Seats: $500/seat

– Flooded Engine: $750

– Lost Key: $70

– Cracked Hull: $100/sq in

– Total Loss: $10,000

• $200/day charge applies until unit is rentable again (max $10,000).

Therefore, we strongly recommend that you purchase the Damage Protection Policy Coverage from your concierge or guide at the jet ski dock for only $40.
