⚓ Welcome Aboard *Breaking Away*

We’re delighted to welcome you aboard **Breaking Away** for your upcoming Kokomo Yacht Club sailing outing.

Vessel Owner & Operator:** Seaworthy Academy, LLC

Departure Location:** The Vinoy Marina, St. Petersburg, Florida

Your outing aboard *Breaking Away* is a **professionally captained sailing experience**. Your U.S. Coast Guard-licensed Captain will handle vessel operations and help shape the experience around your group, the conditions, and how you would like to spend your time on the water.

---

Next Steps Before Your Outing

Your vessel and Captain are reserved. We just need a few items completed before you arrive.

1. Complete Your Member Agreement

The **Primary Member** must complete the required agreement using the link above.

2. Forward the Guest Waiver to Everyone Onboard

A completed waiver is required for **everyone onboard**.

Please forward the Guest Waiver link above to your party. Adults complete their own waiver, and a parent or legal guardian completes the waiver for minors.

3. Confirm Your Guest Information

Please make sure the guest information associated with your reservation is complete and accurate before departure.

---

Your Sailing Experience

Breaking Away* is a 48’ monohull sailing yacht offering an authentic sailing experience on the waters surrounding St. Petersburg and Tampa Bay.

Depending on the length of your outing and conditions, your experience may include:

  • Sailing Tampa Bay
  • Coastal sightseeing
  • Sunset cruising
  • Relaxing under sail
  • Time at anchor
  • Swimming when conditions permit
  • Celebrations with family and friends

Your Captain will work with you to create the best experience possible within the time available.

Because sailing is naturally condition-dependent, the exact route and activities may vary based on wind, weather, tides, marine traffic, and other navigational considerations.

Breaking Away* may operate under sail, engine power, or a combination of both depending on conditions.

---

Your Captain

Your U.S. Coast Guard-licensed Captain remains in command of *Breaking Away* throughout the outing and has final authority regarding:

  • Navigation and vessel operation
  • Weather and sailing conditions
  • Use of sails, lines, rigging, and equipment
  • Passenger movement aboard
  • Life jacket requirements
  • Swimming and water access
  • Alcohol consumption
  • Passenger conduct
  • Modification or early termination of the outing for safety reasons

Every guest must participate in the Captain’s safety briefing and follow all instructions from the Captain and crew.

Guests may not operate the vessel, handle sailing equipment, enter the water, or use onboard equipment without the Captain’s permission.

---

Arrival at The Vinoy Marina

Please arrive at **The Vinoy Marina approximately 15 minutes before your scheduled departure**.

This allows time for:

  • Guest check-in
  • Waiver verification
  • Boarding
  • Safety briefing
  • An on-time departure

Your Captain will confirm the specific dock and meeting location before your outing.

Late arrival does not extend the scheduled outing time or change the scheduled return time.

---

Included aboard:

  • Comfortable cockpit seating
