LADYBIRD- 2 Hour Private Sail

Welcome aboard Ladybird, your private Friendship sloop designed for an exceptional sailing experience. On our 2 hour sail, departing from the docks at IYRS, you'll witness the crew skillfully raise the sails in the harbor and trim them for a smooth journey across the bay. Please tip your crew. Like a restaurant, 20% of charter cost is super appreciated!

We encourage responsible consumption of alcohol. Please note that if a member of your party becomes unsafe, we have to bring the boat back to the dock with no refund.

PICKUP & DROP OFF LOCATION

449 Thames Street, Newport, Rhode Island 02840

Ladybird will depart from the docks at the waterfront of IYRS (International Yacht Restoration School) Please do not come down the docks until your crew comes to get you.

ARRIVAL TIME & MEETING

Please arrive 5-10 minutes early and wait at our designated location for a crew member, who will lead you down the docks! A map will be sent to you the night before so you can easily locate us!

WHAT TO BRING

We encourage BYOB and some snacks! There are a few reputable restaurants close by that would be happy to assist with suggestions. We have water, cups, bottle openers, & a cooler with ice onboard.

WHAT TO WEAR

New England is famous for its variable weather. Bring light & warm layers, even on summer days as it can be a little chilly on the water, especially on the evening cruises. Its always nice in the fall to bring a light blanket to cuddle up in on the evening cruises.

WHAT TO EXPECT

Expect a knowledgeable, respectful, & fun Captain and Crew that are there for your safety and entertainment!

On a 2 hour sail- expect sailing and good cheer. Sails will be adjusted at all times to ensure the vessel is comfortable. We strive to have people feel comfortable but also sail the boat efficiently.

On a 4 hour sail- Cruise you can choose between just sailing, or slow cruising around the harbor, with plenty of time for photos and adventures!
