Six Fins Charter – Celebration of Life Memorial Confirmation

Dear Family,

Thank you for entrusting Six Fins Charter with your Celebration of Life memorial. We understand the weight of this moment and are honored to be part of it. Please review the important details below so we can plan a peaceful and dignified experience together.

✅ Before Your Trip

For trips up to six passengers: Each passenger must complete the insurance waiver (including adults on behalf of minors) via the Smartwaiver link that will be sent separately.

AND for trips with 7th and 8th passengers: The primary renter (21+) and captain will complete the Bareboat Agreement together at the dock before departure. This is standard for charters carrying 7 or more passengers.

Please complete all forms prior to arrival so we can depart on time.

🕊️ Your Celebration of Life Charter

A private, 3-hour memorial charter aboard our 30-foot Jeanneau NC 895 Weekender. Your family will have the boat entirely to yourselves, along with a caring USCG-licensed captain who will help guide the ceremony. You are welcome to plan your own service, or your captain can assist with readings, music, moments of silence, or simply hold space for your family.

📍 EPA & Coordinates

All ash scatterings take place at least 3 nautical miles offshore, in full compliance with U.S. Environmental Protection Agency regulations (40 CFR §229.1). Your captain will record the exact latitude and longitude of the scattering location and provide it to you afterward, so your family always knows the place. Many families use these coordinates for a memorial plaque or annual visit.

🎵 Optional Additions (arranged in advance)

• Live musician aboard (violin, guitar, ukulele) — ask us for options
• Officiant / clergy of any denomination — we work with a network of local ministers, celebrants, and non-religious officiants
• Custom memorial plaque with GPS coordinates and photo — delivered to your family within 2 weeks
• Biodegradable urn (water-soluble) — ask us for options
• Flower petals or wreath for the scattering — arranged fresh, day-of

🛥 About the Boat

30' Jeanneau NC 895 Weekender; private enclosed head; USCG-certified safety equipment; licensed USCG captain.

Departure Location: Dock A, Slip #32, 7001 Shrimp Rd, Stock Island, FL 33040. Free parking adjacent to The Perry Hotel & Marina. Please arrive 15 minutes prior.

💰 Pricing

Base fee $995 includes up to 6 guests. Additional guests (7th and 8th) are $150 each. Maximum party size is 8 guests.

🧳 What's Included

Bottled water and light snacks, cooler with ice, all safety equipment, captain's ceremonial support.

🚫 Not Included

Meals, alcoholic beverages, towels, floral arrangements or urn (unless arranged separately as an add-on), captain gratuity (customary 20% minimum for memorial charters).

🩺 Health & Safety

USCG-licensed captains, pre-departure safety briefing, life jackets for all guests, weather-dependent departure. Advance notice appreciated for any guests with mobility limitations. Not recommended for pregnant guests or those with serious heart/back/neck/recent-surgical conditions. Excessive intoxication or unsafe behavior may result in denied boarding or early return without refund.

🎁 Complimentary

Families may enjoy The Perry Hotel & Marina pools before or after the trip. Towels are not provided by the hotel or by Six Fins, so please bring your own.
