As the name implies, this Alaskan River is famous for its Salmon and Arctic Grayling and its truely crystal clear waters for sight fishing. It's ideal for fly fisherman or spinning gear angler alike. It has a spectacular silver salmon run, the most productive in Interior Alaska, and produces trophy arctic grayling year by year.

On our day or overnight float fishing adventure catching silver salmon and/or +18"grayling is common. As on all our float fishing trips, **you will be fully outfitted including transportation from your Fairbanks hotel**. First class fly or spin fishing gear, terminal tackle, camping equipment, lunch (overnight: BF/LU/DI), will make your trip the superb and memorable fishing/camping experience you are looking for. Your fishing guide will pick you up from your Fairbanks hotel or residence at no extra cost, and take you on a very scenic drive (100mls) down the Richardson Highway with often fantastic views of the Tanana River braids and the giant glacier covered mountains of the Alaska Range.

In Delta Junction on the Clearwater Creek we start fishing some of the best holes of the river for Silver Salmon and/or trophy size Arctic Grayling. The day trip offers a combination of wade and/or boat fishing on the upper part of the river. This trip will take you into first-class fly fishing for the fabeled Arctic grayling. We also offer a float fishing camping trip on this river.

Either trip (day trip or overnight camping) offers a great fishing and Alaskan outdoor experience for anglers of an experience level.

Make sure to only buy a 1 day sport fishing license (you do NOT need a king salmon stamp). Electronic copies still need to be signed on your phone. You can also buy hard copies at Big Ray's, Sportsman's Warehouse, Walmart, or Fred Meyer! Bring the id and license within you on the tour. IMPORTANT: Only signed fishing license with the valid date of your tour are accepted. Electronic copies can be signed on your cell phone by taking a screenshot of your online license - edit - hit pencil icon (mark up) - and use your finger to sign.

Tipping your Guide (10-20%)

Tips for your Guides are not included in the price of your tour. Just like any other service in the USA it is common courtesy for guests to tip 10%-20% of your tour value. Please remember to bring cash on your tour. Cash is the preferred method of tip payment to the guide, driver, or any staff that has provided you with great service. You are free to deal with the staff member directly or you may have the tip added to your bill. If you do want to add a tip to your final invoice please send us an email to [email protected].

How to dress/what to bring:

Please dress up for the outdoors such as light pants/rain jacket/hat/sunglasses/socks. We recommend also to bring bug spray, photo camera, sun screen and extra snacks.

wading- boots or pants, all fishing tackle, life jackets, light lunch snack & water, hotel pick up, fishing guide/captain.
