About

Step your camping game up a notch in one of our 14 x 16 canvas wall tents! Our classic wall tents are furnished with everything you need for a peaceful night’s sleep under the Adirondack stars. Nestled into the woods behind our Hudson River Base, each wall tent comes standard with one memory foam queen bed, one set of twin bunk beds, and plenty of sheets, pillows, and comforters to keep you cozy during your stay. If you’re looking for the Adirondack wilderness experience without sacrificing comfort, Beaver Brook’s wall tents are the perfect place to relax after a day filled with adventure.

Important Considerations

  • We just finished building a bathhouse with 24-hour access to toilets and showers.
  • Tents are off the grid with no power.
  • Accessing the tent requires a short but fairly steep hike that cars cannot drive up.
  • We have three tents in total
  • **Please note:** An additional $25 cleaning fee will be automatically charged. We're happy to waive this fee for guests who are rafting, tubing, or kayaking with us. Use the code "cleaningfee" at checkout.

Before you go

Thanks for staying at Beaver Brook Outfitters!

Our wall tents are located behind Beaver Brook Outfitters, our whitewater rafting outfitter and outdoor center. Our office is open until 4pm, if you get here while we're open we can give you the lay of the land in person. If it's after 4:00 there will be a note with your name on it taped to the door of the building with the porch. This note has helpful info and your tent assignment.

You can park to the left of the buses close to the bottom of the hill and pathway to the tents. Please don’t drive up — it’s much steeper than it looks from the bottom.

Our base has staff available during business hours to answer questions and help you find an adventure for the day. We'll provide an after-hours phone number for emergencies. There are three tents total on our property, so there may be other guests during your stay. We'll happily refund cleaning fees for groups that join us for a trip or rental.

If you booked a multi-night stay but your confirmation only has it listed as one night don't worry. Our reservation software doesn't understand multi-day options but our staff has brains that do understand! So if you chose a two or three-night stay when booking, we know you're not really leaving after one night even if our software doesn't.

What's included

  • All bedding & pillows
  • Lantern
  • ADK chairs
  • Charcoal grill
  • Firepit

What to bring

  • Food
  • Water containers

  • Extra headlamp or lantern

Important Considerations

  • Tents are off the grid.
  • There will be a note with your name on it taped to our office building's door. This will have emergency numbers and your tent assignment.
  • Accessing the tent requires a short but fairly steep hike. Please don't drive up to the tents, park perpendicular to the treeline to the left of the rafting buses. Follow the pathway up the hill to your assigned tent.
  • Let us know if you need early check-in or late checkout, as long as another group doesn't need the tent we can accommodate you.
  • Please don't store any food or trash in your tent. Trash should be put in the can next to the tent and covered securely, food should be stored in your car. We haven't had any animal problems yet, BUT it is very important that you don't keep any food in the tent. Feel free to give us a call with questions on this.
  • The lean-to and fire ring are shared common spaces. Please be respectful of other groups.
  • The bathhouse is at the bottom of the hill in its own building. There are four toilets and two showers.
  • Pets and parties are not allowed.
  • Please don't exceed 4 guests per tent without talking to us in advance.
  • The water spigots at the back of the two buildings have potable water.
  • Feel free to hang out under the big top tent or on the office's porch.
  • While we're pretty remote, we do have a couple of neighbors, please be respectful with noise levels.
