This hiking trek is the best way to see Lake Tahoe'best scenic vistas that are off-the-beaten-path. Your fun and professional trail guide will take you to some of our favorite hidden gems that are great for photos and seeing the less traveled parts of Lake Tahoe.

Through years of exploring the area, we have found the absolute best day hikes to do in South Lake Tahoe. From easy beginner hikes to advanced summit trips, we know the best places to get the best photos. Our top-rated guides will take you away from the usual tourist spots to some of our hidden gems. Your guide will take creative action shots of you along the way as well. Don't leave Lake Tahoe wondering if you could have done something more spectacular while you were here and don't leave without amazing photos! Most of our treks can be done in a total of two hours, round trip. We provide trekking poles, interesting facts, and recommendations about the area. We like to give you local advice on what to do (and what not to do) throughout your stay in South Lake Tahoe. Start times vary depending on availability.

Bring

• Water

• **Hiking or tennis shoes with traction/tread on the soles. Please don't wear flat soles or tennis shoes with no tread on the bottom. Even if you are an experienced hiker, we don't recommend smooth soles.

• Comfortable hiking attire

• Cell phone/camera. You don't have to bring a big fancy camera, today's cell phones take the best shots!

• No Dogs. Dogs are more than welcome by booking a private hiking tour.

We have hiking shoes and boots available to rent by calling our office to reserve. Reserve ahead of time. Limited sizes are available.

Meet your guide at the trailhead where we will start and finish at the same place. Locations vary depending on weather and current conditions. All of our locations are within 10-20 minutes of anywhere in South Lake Tahoe. All locations are within 20 minutes from Stateline/Casino/Heavenly Village Area. All locations are easily accessed through taxis or services such as Uber or Lyft.

Gear Up for Greatness!

MUST-HAVE: Proper Footwear

• Rock those hiking boots or shoes! Comfortable hiking shoes/boots with grippy soles are the way to go. Athletic shoes with good tread work too.

No-nos:

Flat or smooth-soled shoes (like sneakers or flip-flops) are a slippery slope—literally! Leave ‘em at home to keep your adventure safe and fun.

Dress for the Trail

• Throw on comfy, weather-appropriate hiking gear. Think breathable layers, moisture-wicking fabrics, and maybe a hat for sun protection. You’ll want to move freely while soaking in those epic Tahoe views!

We’ll pick the perfect trail based on your group’s skill level, the day’s weather, and trail conditions. Our team checks these daily to ensure you get the ultimate hiking experience. Stay tuned for your exact departure details! We usually contact you right before your tour date so that the weather and conditions information is the most accurate. If you do not hear from us by the evening before your tour, please reach out to us.
