CHECK-IN PROCEDURE

Meet at Education in the large covered pavilion. Plan to arrive 10 minutes before your program start time. Late arrival results in a shorter program with less time for animal interaction. Your instructor(s) will be waiting for you at the Education Department

PROGRAM EXPECTATIONS

To prepare children for live animal presentations at Helen Woodward Animal Center, please read and share the following before you arrive:

• All participants, regardless of age, should wear closed-toed shoes.
• Please remain with the group at all times. Some areas of the Center are restricted to staff access only.
• Food is not allowed in any of the animal areas.
• Not all animals can be pet. We will invite you to pet when available.
• Animals are very sensitive to and easily startled by loud, high-pitched sounds and fast movement. Help children act respectfully around the animals by keeping "voices low and feet slow."
