About

Come explore a beautiful Alaskan forest via SnowShoes!

We will casually snowshoe between 30 minutes to an hour on our homestead property into the boreal forest overlooking the Goldstream Valley.

Your guide will point out the types of trees, plants and animal tracks. You might see moose, fox, birds and other small mammals indigenous to Alaska.

For this activity you will be fitted with Snowshoes by your guide, given an overview of how to use them and safely walk in them, and then choose the trail we will walk based on your comfort level.

You will need to be physically able to walk or hike approximately 0.5 miles with minimal elevation gain, and be comfortable in the snow for this activity.

We have one very short trail that circles the dog yard and our sheep enclosure, and this trail is easy enough for just about anyone.

Snowshoeing is fun, and allows you to walk through the snow covered winter wonderland with ease.

This option can easily be added on to any dog sledding, kennel visit, or aurora tour.

Extra warm winter outerwear is available as needed.

We will also need your shoe sizes for correct snowshoe fit.

Other times of day are available, please inquire.
